Keren Cytter´s artistry relies on the relation what is said and the subtitles. Text doesn´t link with the sound, and at first sight it does not make sense what is said and what is shown.  The message is subtle, hidden. The naive actings in the film make re public focus on the poetry of subtitles. Communication within symbols. Actions that can´t make logical sense, but at the same time depict topics regarding desire and stagnation.

On the other hand, Isaac Julien´s film depict a novel proposal of the way XXI capitalsm is killing our sense of human being. His language is straightforward. His shots and colors are polished and exact. Visual meaning simplified to it´s basic forms. Simple shapes and simple colors, that could easily resemble a print.
